Sewer Camera Inspection in Estero, FL

Repeated backups, a home purchase or a mystery smell all call for a look inside the pipe. Call to schedule a camera visit.

Why look inside the pipe at all

A sewer line is buried, so guessing is expensive. You can pay for repeated cleanings, or dig the wrong spot, or replace a pipe that only needed cleaning. A video inspection replaces the guess with a picture of the pipe.

The camera head is mounted on a flexible cable with a light. We feed it through the cleanout and watch a monitor as it travels toward the street connection. Anything unusual in the pipe shows on screen.

Good reasons to schedule an inspection

  • Backups or slow drains that return after cleaning.
  • You are buying a home and want to know the condition of the line.
  • Large trees close to the house or the path of the pipe.
  • A damp or sunken area in the yard with no clear source.
  • Plans for a renovation that will add fixtures to the line.

What the camera can and cannot tell us

What a sewer camera shows
FindingWhat it looks likeWhat it usually means
Root intrusionFine or thick fibers entering at jointsRoots found a gap. Cleaning cuts them back, repair seals the gap.
Crack or breakA visible split in the pipe wallMay need repair, lining or replacement depending on length.
Belly or sagA low spot where water poolsDebris collects there and clogs recur. Often needs correction.
Offset jointPipe sections that no longer line upShifting soil. Catches debris and may let roots in.
Grease or scale buildupRough, coated wallsCleaning or jetting may restore the pipe.

A camera cannot see through a fully blocked line, so we may clear the blockage first. It also cannot give an exact depth without a locator, and it does not test for leaks that only open under pressure. We will tell you plainly what the picture shows and what it does not.

Tired of the same backup every few months? Call and we will look inside the line.

Buying or selling in Estero

Findings may lead to sewer line repair, cleaning or nothing at all. Either way, you decide with real information. We work in Estero, Bonita Springs and San Carlos Park.

A camera inspection is a diagnostic tool, not a code inspection. It does not replace a permit inspection by the building department, so ask for the footage and a plain description of what was seen, and check any plumber's licence at myfloridalicense.com.

Sewer camera inspection questions

Usually not. If sewage is coming into the house, call the 24/7 line. For a purchase or recurring slow drains, schedule a visit.

It makes the job much simpler. Without one, we use another entry such as a pulled toilet, which takes longer.

It can show cracks and joint gaps that may leak. It does not prove a leak by itself. For water supply leaks, see leak detection.

Ask us when you schedule. Tell dispatch if you need a record for a purchase or insurance file.

A heavy blockage or a collapsed section can stop it. We tell you where it stopped and what we think is there, then discuss next steps.

There is no set schedule. A check makes sense after repeated backups, before buying a home, or when mature trees grow near the line.

Still deciding? Call (239) 522-0887 any hour and talk it through.
